Okay, so it is not the first day of Christmas but its a first day of December so this means that we can start to get excited about Christmas, doesnt it? This is the ‘Country Purse’ which shows a ‘partridge in a pear tree’. At the moment I have a few new purses in the pipeline which hopefully I can have finished soon and show you the progress. I am going to work my way backwards through the 12 days of Christmas. I would love to hear your feedback. 12 Drummers Drumming 11 Pipers Piping 10 Lords-a-Leaping 9 Ladies Dancing 8 Maids-a-Milking 7 Swans-a-Swimming 6Read More →

How lovely is it to see all the autumn colours out? Yes, I know its getting chillier but it is also so pretty in the autumn with all the leaves whisping around. Inspired by this is my autumn purse on a custard-yellow hand dyed cotton. “It was one of those perfect English autumnal days which occur more frequently in memory than in life.” P. D. James
Hello, hello! I know that it has been a while, I hope you had a great hallowean and lots of sweets/pumpkin pie/dressing up? I have a little suprise pumkpin purse for you this week, its a beautiful custard-yellow colour. My fave colour of the moment. P.S. I tried to think of a sound which a witch makes but couldnt think of how to write it so will go with ‘swooosh’ for now (thats her whizzing past on the ‘ole broomstick).
